Uneasy Listening

I'm back in Munich, the Sun is shinning and my favourite record in this week is Patric & Eugene with "Postcard for Summerisle". These 2 guys looks both a bit like richard stallmann. This records goes more into the category "uneasy listening", it´s defintily not the lightest stuff to hear. Have you ever feelt while hearing a chartsong in the radio, could be a nice, if everything would sound a bit more authentic.

A lot of stress...

I had a lot of stress the last 2 weeks, so there was no way to update my blog. But I found a very nice way to cool down. Just listen to the Lasal label compilation and you getting relaxed by itself. It is compiled by the spanish DJ Joan Gómez Barbena and is delicious selection of grooves from soul, funk, jazz and a bit hiphop. This song is a really nice jazz cover of "I'm walking"..

Welcome !

Let me first introduce myself. I´m a 24 year old Bioinformatics student from Germany. At the moment i spend a semester in Cambridge/UK. I´m a very enthusiastic music digger. I need at least 1 new lp per week to keep alive. I recommend a lot of new artists and new lps to my friends, so I thought it might be useful to start a weblog for that purpose. My plan is just to post every week my favourite records here. Hopefully you like the sound as much as I do.

The recommendation for this week is definetly "Moods & Grooves" by Casbah 73. Some people would it call nu jazz, but it´s just simply a delicious mixture of modern breaks and jazz / funk elements. Listen to this track, it sounds a bit like Quantic, not too cheap and not too sophisticated, good music for every day listening.
